Mia’s career in the museum industry began at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL. Working in the Exhibits Department, she learned the ins and outs of not only exhibition development and production, but also of the intricacies of hosting and touring temporary exhibitions.

This work gave her access to anthropologists, scientists, and other specialists in their field, both locally and internationally, and offered a collaborative approach to developing exhibitions.

After moving to Minneapolis in 1999, she began her focus on developing exhibitions as an independent business owner, and is a Co-founder of Outhouse Exhibit Services.

Her role as Creative Director encompasses exhibit development, design direction, and project management. She is the main Client Contact for all projects.
