About the Project

A whimsical and educational journey into the realm of the arachnids!

OES worked in close collaboration with the staff at the LA Zoo to create an innovative and engaging live spider display. Graphic novel-inspired design placed the visitor into the pages of a comic book, creating a fully immersive experience with more than 30 different spider species featured as the inhabitants of the fictional "Spider City".

Educational topics included the benefits of spiders, with the goal of dispelling the fear that can be associated with them.
