About the Project

Beautiful Spirit features a series of steampunk-inspired, one-of-a-kind handcrafted sculptures that
engage the senses through hands-on interactive engagement.


With working gears and handcranks, visitors of all ages can interact with pieces such as Majestic the
Butterfly, Juniper the Dragonfly, and more. Each sculpture is designed to inspire wonder, curiosity, and a
deeper appreciation for the natural world.


Created by Master Sculptor Joseph Lee Benedict, each sculpture is more than a piece of art: it is a living
lesson. Children and families can see how wings flutter and how movement expresses purpose. These
experiences encourage curiosity, connection, and empathy for the creatures that share our planet.
